About Me
I’m Oksana Kazakova, a Sydney-based graphic designer and illustrator with a passion for visual storytelling and thoughtful design. I recently completed my Diploma of Graphic Design at TAFE NSW, where I developed strong skills in editorial and print design, layout, and illustration, with additional experience in motion design.
Before studying graphic design, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics (teaching German as a foreign language) and 3 years studying at the Academy of Arts in Kyrgyzstan, where I specialised in artistic ceramics. I also hold a Certificate III in Floristry, which deepened my understanding of form, texture, and composition. These diverse creative paths have shaped me into a multidisciplinary designer who values both structure and emotional expression.
In design, I focus on composition and emotion – creating work that communicates with clarity while evoking a genuine response. I’m inspired by history, culture, and literature, and I enjoy translating those influences into modern visual language.
Alongside my studies, I’ve been working as a freelance designer, developing marketing design, editorial layouts, and creative visual concepts for various clients and personal projects. My main tools include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, with additional experience in Figma, After Effects, and Adobe Express.
I’m always open to new collaborations and creative opportunities — whether in branding, editorial, or illustration projects that tell meaningful stories.
